Lorry driver air-lifted to hospital after crash at Kemsley paper mill, near Sittingbourne

A lorry driver was air-lifted to hospital after his vehicle crashed into a building.
Police were called to DS Smith paper mill in Ridham Avenue in Kemsley, near Sittingbourne shortly before 3pm.
A police spokesman said: "Patrols and paramedics attended and the driver was taken to a local hospital for medical attention."
A man who works nearby said he had seen an air ambulance helicopter and "a load of police and ambulances" at the scene.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called at 2.49pm and sent two fire engines and crews to assist paramedics. They left after spending an hour at the scene.
A spokesman for DS Smith confirmed: "An incident occurred at Kemsley Paper Mill on Tuesday where an agency worker became unwell on site and was taken to hospital by helicopter.
"We are in close contact with the driver and his family as well as the employees that tended to this person on site to offer support at this time."
The ambulance service has been contacted for more information.
