Seriously injured man released from crashed car by firefighters in London Road, Sittingbourne

A man with serious injuries had to be freed from a car after a crash on the A2 in Sittingbourne last night.
Firefighters, medics and police were called to London Road at about 7.30pm yesterday.
They helped to free the man, who was in his 20s, who was trapped as a result of the collision.
The driver of the Nissan, a woman, was taken to hospital with suspected whiplash injuries.
A police spokesman said that while the man's injuries were serious they were not thought to be life-threatening.
