A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after a crash with a van yesterday evening.
Paramedics and the air ambulance were called to the A2 at Norton, between Sittingbourne and Faversham, at around 4.30pm.
The rider was assessed at the scene before he was airlifted to King's College Hospital in a serious condition, while the road was closed for around four hours.
A spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance service said: "There was a call to London Road, near Norton Lane. We responded to a person who had come off a motorbike shortly after 4.30pm.
"We were joined at the scene by the air ambulance service. The motorcyclist was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to King's College Hospital."
A police spokesman said the motorcyclist's injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
A road closure was enforced "for public safety" before being lifted at 9.25pm.
