A man was stabbed to death after an argument "escalated into physical violence", an inquest has heard.
David Perry, 40, died from a stab wound to the abdomen at his home off College Road in Sittingbourne, Wednesday, December 21.
Police were called to the property in Medway Close at 1.36am to reports a man had been attacked.
Two forensic vans, two police cars, and a private ambulance remained at the scene the same day.
An inquest opening at County Hall in Maidstone heard how Mr Perry was identified by his partner.
Assistant coroner James Dillon told the court Mr Perry's cause of death was given as stab wound to the abdomen.
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be confirmed following a police investigation.
Rohan Daniels, 18, was arrested and later charged with murder following the incident.
He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court two days later and was remanded back into custody.
The case was sent for trial at Maidstone Crown Court, where he will next appear on June 12, 2023.
