Amongst all the chaos and confusion a little girl is working hard with her mum to make people smile again.
Three-year-old Sophia Goldsmith is now leading the charge to get other youngsters thinking creatively with daily challenges during the coronavirus outbreak.
With a little help from marketing manager mum, Kelly Goldsmith, she posts to her own Facebook group a daily task for others to take on.
Before now, followers of the Sophia's Challenges group have been asked to create a blue love heart to show support for front line NHS workers.
Kelly, of Leigh Road, Great Easthall, near Sittingbourne, said: "With the current situation we're in, my daughter is three and I'm a working mum so I had to find a way to entertain her and do my work.
"I came up with this idea to keep us busy and stay in contact with our friends.
"The idea is that we send the challenge out and the parents send me a picture of their finished creations and in the evening I post what has been made.
"We've done a couple on the topic of thanking the workers in the NHS.
"It's really good to see other people enjoying what we're posting on the Facebook group.
"I thought it'd be nice to get the whole community involved."
Other challenges have focussed on building a rainbow out of different colour toys and making miniature doctors and nurses from recycled toilet roll cardboard.
"It's about staying connected. The highlight of Sophia's day is seeing what other children have been doing," added Kelly.
"A lot of the children are sending these to their grandparents as well. It's making them smile.
"They've loved it. They look forward to it every day and you can tell that they're really using their imagination when they're taking part."
She is also asking anyone else who wants to take part to get involved in the growing group.
"Anyone can join, I'd love to encourage other parents and children," Kelly said.
