A lorry has flipped over on the B2005 Swale Way, near the A249 Roundabout in Sittingbourne.
The incident was reported at 7.05am and police are currently at the scene.
Swale Way is partially blocked in both directions, with traffic taking turns due to the overturned lorry and recovery work at Barge Way, Kemsley Fields Industrial Park.
There are temporary lights in place for recovery and clean-up, east of the A249 at Iwade.
Drivers are being asked to approach with caution and expect delays in the area.
A KCC Highways spokesman said: "Reports of an overturned vehicle on Swale Way near the A249 Roundabout.
"Recovery is underway."
