Person hit by train between London Victoria and Bromley South dies

A person has died after being hit by a train.
Emergency services were called to Beckenham Junction railway station yesterday evening after reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Paramedics attended but sadly the person died at the scene.
The incident led to delays across Kent as all services between London Victoria and Bromley.
A transport police spokesman said: "Officers were called to Beckenham Junction railway station just before 6pm yesterday to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
Meanwhile, a man was taken to hospital after falling “head-first” between a train and the platform in a separate incident.
Emergency services were called to Sittingbourne train station yesterday afternoon after a passenger had sustained head injuries.
Power to the lines towards Faversham and Sheerness were switched off after police, fire crews and paramedics were called at about 3.45pm.
