Water bosses have announced plans to replace 1.8km of pipes which have burst 32 times.
South East Water revealed it is going to take out the old water main along Pond Farm Road, from the junction with Cryalls Lane, and Wises Lane, to the junction with Sutton Baron Road in Borden.
People have suffered no water or low pressure due to the pipe bursting.
The work will take about 33 weeks and will be completed in the autumn. Plans are still being finalised.
It means a road closure and temporary traffic lights will be brought in.
Plans will be on display at Borden Parish Hall, School Lane, from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, September 25.
Staff will also be there to answer questions about the works.
