Appeal launched for A249 fatal crash information

Police want to hear from anyone who saw a two-car crash in which a woman was killed.
The A249 was closed yesterday morning after the two-car collision which saw police, paramedics and firefighters rush to the scene.
A woman in her 60s from Sittingbourne died at the scene.
Police say they were called at 6.33am to the Maidstone bound carriageway of the A249, at the junction with Oad Street and the crash involved a red Vauxhall Insignia and a white Ford Fiesta.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
