Police were called to a hit and run in Sittingbourne yesterday afternoon.

Officers received reports of the collision involving a van and a pedestrian around 3.30pm.

But when they arrived at the scene on London Road, close to Borden Lane, the van was not at the scene.

Paramedics also attended and treated the pedestrian, a man in his 40s. It's not yet known how seriously he was injured.
