Police are investigating the death of a man in his 70s.
Two police cars and a forensics team are still outside a house in London Road, Sittingbourne, near its junction with Adelaide Drive.
Police were called to the home just after 8am this morning (Wednesday).
A spokesman said: "Officers are currently at the scene carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances leading up to the man’s death."
He confirmed a man "in his 70s" had died "at a residential property" in London Road.
The man's next of kin have been informed. There is no suggestion of third party involvement.
The man has been named locally as retired plumber Steve Briggs who was a regular at the Gore Court Arms in Park Road.
Customers described him as "an all-round good bloke" and "one of the best" but said they were too shocked to comment further.
