Iwade Post Office in Ferry Road forced to close due to 'staffing issues'
09:44, 16 January 2020
A village has been left without its Post Office after it was forced to close due to 'staffing issues'.
The branch in the CostCutter, Ferry Road, Iwade, shut at the close of business yesterday and will not re-open until 7am on Thursday, February 13, because of a shortage of staff.
Other alternative stores can be found a one-mile-drive away in Hurst Lane, Kemsley, or more than two miles away in Milton High Street.
A Post Office spokesman said: "Iwade Post Office will be temporarily closed due to staffing issues.
"We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused."
