A residential street has been closed after a small sinkhole appeared at the weekend.
Victoria Road in Sittingbourne will be shut for nearly a week while emergency repairs are carried out.
Kent County Council was first alerted to the hole after it was reported on Sunday, July 28.
A spokesperson said: “We attended the site, and the road was closed in the interest of public safety.”
Barriers have also been placed around the hole.
The spokesperson added: "Our engineer has carried out an onsite inspection on Tuesday, July 30 and further repairs will need to be carried out as soon as possible before the road can be reopened."
The residential road is located opposite the Shell petrol station and is connected by the A2 and Well Winch Road.
The road closure is permitted to be in place until August 3 at 11:59pm.
