Police held traffic on the M2 after reports of a crash.

Motorists were queuing London-bound between junction 5 for Sittingbourne, Sheppey and Maidstone and junction 4 for Gillingham.

Officers were called to a crash involving four vehicles at 7.27am.

A spokesman said: "No injuries have been reported but the road is currently blocked."

It follows an earlier crash on the coast-bound carriageway between junction 5 and 6 where a car crashed into the central reservation and a separate incident on the same stretch involving a number of vehicles.
