Seven arrested in Sittingbourne after the theft of high-value metal

Three more people have been arrested after the theft of valuable metal in Sittingbourne.
Officers received reports of a burglary in the Castle Road area during the early hours on Sunday January 14.
Witnesses saw a van and a car leave the area, and the vehicles were stopped in Gillingham and four men arrested, with the metal found in the car.
Following further enquiries, officers searched a London home and arrested three more people in conjunction with the theft.
Ionel Murui, 28, Costinel Tanase, 29, Vader Tanase, 31, all of Revell Rise in Plumstead, London, and Florin Iliuta, 27, of no fixed abode were all charged with burglary.
The remaining three, a 22-year-old and 21-year-old from Plumstead and a 21-year-old of no fixed abode, are still in police custody.
