A teenager was taken to hospital and the Sheppey Crossing was closed this morning after a three car accident.
A taxi, a Vauxhall Corsa and a third vehicle collided just before the crossing on the A249 Sittingbourne-bound carriageway at about 9.40am today (Monday).
Sheppey firefighters were called to the scene and used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the taxi and free the passenger.
Ambulance crews were also there and the 13-year-old boy was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Traffic was diverted over the Kingsferry Bridge and through Iwade.
The Sheppey Crossing was re-opened at 11.20am.
