Sittingbourne enhanced their Ryman League Division 1 South promotion credentials with a superb 2-0 win over table-topping Folkestone Invicta at Bourne Park on Saturday.
Gary Abbott's side inflicted just the third league defeat Invicta had suffered this season to move up to seventh in the table - just four points off the top five, with games in hand on some of their play-off rivals.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men three minutes into the second half after striker Simon Austin was shown a straight red for a foul on Bourne keeper Deren Ibrahim, who was replaced in goal by outfielder Billy Manners.
Hicham Akhazzan opened the scoring on 24 minutes from the spot after being felled by Michael Everitt and, after a one-sided second half, Tom Bradbrook curled home the second eight minutes from time.
