Sittingbourne finished their Ryman League, Division 1 South season in ninth place after a comfortable 2-0 victory over Merstham on Saturday.
Bourne, who lost 1-0 at Burgess Hill last Thursday, took a fourth-minute lead when Tom Bradbrook’s far-post cross was fired home by Jimmy Bottle, pictured.
Merstham came close to an equaliser when Billy Marshall’s shot was pushed on to the post by Sittingbourne goalkeeper Deren Ibrahim.
Bottle was instrumental in Sittingbourne’s second goal when his pass was cheekily flicked past 17-year-old Merstham keeper Joe Iles by Bradbrook before the half-hour mark.
