Play-off chasing Sittingbourne moved up one place to eighth in the Ryman League Division 1 South table following Saturday’s victory over Worthing.
Tom Bradbrook (pictured) struck both goals for the Brickies in the 2-1 win at Bourne Park.
Worthing started the afternoon second in the table but they found themselves two goals behind before half-time.
Both goals were the result of defensive errors by the visitors. The first came just after the half hour when Charlie Farmer’s weak back-pass was intercepted by Bradbrook and he chipped keeper Alan Mansfield to put the Brickies ahead.
Bradbrook doubled the lead four minutes before the interval when Stuart Axten threw the ball to his own keeper, only for Mansfield to miss the ball completely, and the Sittingbourne man was on hand to make it 2-0.
Axten pulled a goal back for Worthing on 57 minutes.
