Sittingbourne assistant manager Jamie Coyle stresses importance of good start in Ryman League Division 1 South
08:00, 15 July 2011
Sittingbourne assistant manager Jamie Coyle says it is important the Brickies get off to a good start if they are to achieve their goal of a play-off place this season.
Sittingbourne start their Ryman League, Division 1 South campaign with a trip to Eastbourne on August 20 and host Ramsgate three days later before welcoming Dulwich Hamlet to Bourne Park on August 27 and ‘visiting’ tenants Maidstone United on Bank Holiday Monday.
Coyle (pictured) said: "We are looking forward to the start of the season.
"We have got a couple of derby games which the players are always up for and hopefully we can start fast.
"We’re still looking at signing a couple of experienced players to go with our young players but the quality is already there.
"These are exciting times. Hopefully, we can improve on last season’s finish and get in the play-offs minimum."
