Homes and businesses hit by Sittingbourne power cut

More than 600 properties in Sittingbourne were without electricity this morning.
The power cut, which happened at about 8.30am, affected 688 customers in the College Road and Manor Grove area of town.
A fault on an underground cable caused the problem which also hit homes in Iwade and Bredgar.
A spokesman for UK Power Networks confirmed all supplies were reconnected by 9.25am.
She said: “We apologise for the inconvenience this caused and our engineers reconnected all supplies as soon as possible.”
