Police flood into Iwade to search for shoplifting suspect

A shoplifting suspect managed to evade police who were attempting to catch him this morning.
The unanamed man was spotted in the village of Iwade, near Sittingbourne, where officers tried to track him.
People living in the area reported seeing a number of police cars and forensics vehicles driving around the village at just after 10am.
A police spokesman said: “He is believed to be from the Iwade area.
“He is wanted in connection with a shoplifting offence on September 1, in Sheppey Way, Bobbing.”
