Gillingham and East London men arrested after Vodafone robbery in Sittingbourne High Street

Three people, including a 17-year-old, have been charged after thousands of pounds of stock was stolen from a leading High Street mobile phone shop.
Ionut Calin, 22, of Milton Road, Gillingham, Valentin Ciuraru, 24, of Central Park Road, east London, and a 17-year-old boy from east London - who cannot be named for legal reasons - were all charged with robbery after they allegedly targeted the Vodafone store in Sittingbourne High Street.
Thousands of pounds of stock was stolen from the shop with officers suspecting the trio forced their way into the building.
The incident happened at around 5.20pm on Thursday, with responding patrols making arrests in a park near Canterbury Street, Gillingham, by 7pm.
Several devices suspected to be stolen were seized and inquiries to locate a silver Audi A3 are ongoing.
The three are due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday, October 19).
