15:00, 18 March 2013
A teenager has been injured after a fight broke out at a 16th birthday party.
The 18-year-old man suffered a cut to his ear in the fracas at Newington village hall.
Police had been called to a disturbance at the party at around 9pm on Saturday.
Officers closed down the gathering and began to disperse guests.
But a fight broke out as guests were leaving the hall and a man, who lived locally, was hit with a missile, which could have been a bottle.
Two boys, aged 16 and 17, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. They have been released on police bail pending further investigation until Tuesday, April 23.
Detectives now want to speak to other party guests and witnesses.
