Charity fun day at The Bull in Newington
08:00, 10 August 2015
A charity day at The Bull in Newington is estimated to have raised nearly £1,500.
The fundraiser for Kent Air Ambulance drew about 150 customers to the High Street pub on Saturday.
It included an auction, tombola, cake stall, barbecue, bouncy castle and stocks.
Landlord Rob Golding says once the proceeds are counted, the total is likely to far exceed his initial £500 target.
“We’re well happy,” he said.
“We chose the air ambulance because it’s solely reliant on donations.
“We’re thinking about holding another event next year for a different charity before going back to Kent Air Ambulance the year after.”
