Sainsburys in Avenue of Remembrance, Sittingbourne, closed for refurbishment
12:00, 02 November 2017
A well-used car park is closed while a supermarket undergoes a refurbishment.
Sainsbury's in Avenue of Remembrance, Sittingbourne, is shut for improvements with motorists reporting the car park is also closed.
The site, due to reopen on Wednesday, November 8, is not only used by supermarket customers but also by shoppers heading into the town centre.
Pressure on places has also been increased by the closure of a car park in St Michael's Road as the street undergoes changes to its layout as part of the £57 million Spirit of Sittingbourne regeneration project.
The Sainsbury's refurbishment will see new fresh food counters, an eBay collection point and an in-store Argos, due to open on December 15.
