Some train services in Kent will be stopped from 9pm tonight as Southeastern carries out emergency repair work.
The line between Sittingbourne and Rainham will be closed this evening following a landslip on an embankment in the Newington area.
A number of other trains in the county will be affected, including the high speed service Gravesend which will now operate between St Pancras and Rainham, London Victoria services will only run between Gillingham and London Victoria and services from Ramsgate and Dover Priory will terminate and start back from Sittingbourne.
Sittingbourne to Sheerness-On-Sea will run as normal.
The railway company is advising any commuters to make their journey through the area before 9pm if they can as journeys will take longer and social distancing on replacement buses "may not always be possible".
Southeastern tweeted: "Due to urgent repairs to the railway being carried out in the Newington area trains are being cautioned between Sittingbourne and Rainham.
"We may need to carry out further work so please check your journey."
