A van was stuck in between width restriction barriers for almost seven hours.
A white Vauxhall driver wedged their vehicle at the pinch point in Church Road, Murston, near Sittingbourne, before a Salvatori delivery truck also got jammed.
The first blockage on the route, which leads to Dolphin Road and the Eurolink Industrial Estate, happened at around 11.15am yesterday, witnesses say.
Then about 25 minutes later at 11.40am the second vehicle was seen getting stuck on the other side of the road.
A person who saw the second jam told KentOnline: “The driver went through and got stuck.
“He got out of the van to see what was going on, got back in then proceeded to drive through with a lot of struggle but he must have done damage to his van.”
Police were called to the scene just after 12.45pm and officers helped manage traffic while recovery for the vehicle was arranged. The Vauxhall was cleared by around 6pm.
The speeding prevention measure is notorious for drivers getting stuck.
One high-profile incident was in August 2022 when an ASDA delivery van was pictured getting jammed.
Another witness to the incident yesterday told KentOnline: “I live just down the bank from there and I'm always hearing the vehicles crash into the restrictions.
“I have been up there with a trolley jack a few times now trying to help them get unstuck.
“I've even seen a few that have ended up on their side.”
Raised kerbs and a traffic island make the road considerably narrower and it is designed to reduce speed and prevent larger vehicles, such as lorries, from using it.
The latest incidents have prompted a debate about whether the width restrictions are needed on social media.
One person said: “Surely a height restriction would be better as this keeps happening.”
However, another Murston resident disagreed: “They are the best thing they did to stop the lorries.”
