Vehicle overturns on M2 between Sittingbourne and Faversham

A vehicle has overturned on the M2 between Sittingbourne and Faversham.
The accident happened on the coast-bound carriageway just after junction 5, the turn-off for Sittingbourne, Sheppey and Maidstone, at about 2.50pm.
One lane was shut and there were reports of heavy traffic in the area between junctions 5 and 6 for Faversham.
A police spokesman confirmed a call came in at 2.50pm to reports of an overturned car on the hard shoulder on the M2 between junctions 5 and 6.
She added that officers attended alongside the South East Coast Ambulance service and a man was being treated for injuries at the scene.
Highways England tweeted at about 4.20pm to say the motorway was fully reopened.
