Woman cut free from car after crash on Sheppey-bound carriageway of A249

A woman was rescued from her car after getting trapped following a crash involving two vehicles.

The accident - where one car flipped onto its roof - happened on the Sheppey-bound carriageway of the A249 at Bobbing last night.

Emergency services were called to the scene just after 10pm.

Fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the car to get the woman out, she was then treated by paramedics.

The woman and three other people were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries.

The road re-opened at around 1am this morning.

Police also attended.
