Woman taken to hospital after crash in Chalkwell Road at the junction with Watsons Hill, Sittingbourne

A man has been arrested after a crash in which a woman needed to be taken to hospital.
Fire crews and the South East Coast Ambulance Service were sent to Chalkwell Road, at the junction with Watsons Hill, Sittingbourne, at 9pm yesterday.
It is understood a white van and a red car were involved.
One fire crew was sent to ensure the vehicles were safe.
It also treated a casualty, a woman in her 30s, until medics arrived.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed one ambulance was sent to treat a patient suffering from neck and back pain.
The patient was assessed and treated before being taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for further treatment.
A 20-year-old man, from the Sittingbourne area, was arrested for failing to provide a sample of breath.
He has since been released while an investigation continues.
