Young man dies after fall from flats

A 20-year-old man has died in hospital a week after plunging about 40ft from flats.
Jonathan Luckhurst, of Springfield Road, Sittingbourne, fell from flats at nearby Hollybank Hill in London Road, at around 12.40am on Friday, February 20. He died at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham, last Friday.
A post mortem revealed he died of multiple injuries. An an inquest has been opened and adjourned.
Mr Luckhurst was a pupil at The Westlands School, Sittingbourne, until he was 16. Head teacher Alan Burchett said: "Jonathan was a lively lad who enjoyed being with his friends. We had high hopes he would realise his true potential in the future."
Police say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. It is expected the full inquest will be heard in a few months' time.
