Lex Allan will soon be back on pro clubs' radar if he maintains his good form at Sittingbourne.

Centre-half Allan has been ever-present under Aslan Odev with a run of games doing him the world of good.

He burst on to the scene under former Brickies boss Nick Davis, going on trial at Millwall, Crystal Palace and Norwich, but was largely a substitute with Ben Gorham and John Coker in such good form.

With Gorham leaving and Coker injured, the 6ft 7in teenager has taken his chance.

Caretaker boss Odev said: "I've known him a little while now and I know what he's about.

"He's put in some really good performances and that's come from a little rejig at the back.

"We've got a bit of leadership there now in the middle with Chris Webber, our captain.

"Lex has really come on. He's definitely got a future in the game.

"He just needs to keep working hard and make sure he's still concentrating on being the best player at Sittingbourne, then the best player in the league and so on and so forth."

Sittingbourne host Greenwich Borough in a rearranged Bostik South match tonight, buoyed by back-to-back wins.
