Nick Davis is considering his options before naming Sittingbourne’s captain.
Last season’s skipper, Tom Brunt, has decided to stay after rejecting advances from rival clubs.
But boss Davis is yet to announce who will lead the side in 2016-17.
He said: “I’m pleased Brunt has signed forms. He’s enjoyed it here and for him to stay instead of taking a risk elsewhere with another club at our level is good news.
“I’m leaving the captaincy open for now.
“I’ll be looking to make a decision in the next 10 days. Who knows, someone might surprise me.
“There’s loads of different ways we could go.
“You’ve got experienced players who have been here a long time, younger lads, players who lead by example in the way they play and others who are vocal and leaders in the way they organise."
