Sittingbourne boss Nick Davis will be keeping a close eye on both teams at a behind-closed-doors friendly.
A Brickies XI dominated by trialists face a team of young players released by professional clubs at Woodstock Park tonight (Wednesday).
It gives Davis a chance to see trialists in action and he’ll also be on the look-out for any opposition gems.
Davis said: “It’s a good game to have – it kills two birds with one stone. We’ve got quite a few trialists and it’ll be good to see how they do in a game.
“The other team are all between 16 and 21 and have been released by pro clubs, the idea being we get first dibs if any of them shine.
“We’ve been sent the teamsheet with all the names and numbers of the players – they’re all from the south east, relatively local – so it could work out well.”
Left-back Conrad Lee has handed Sittingbourne a boost by signing forms for next season, even though he has further professional trials coming up at the end of the month.
