Sittingbourne have signed goalkeeper Ben Bridle-Card on loan from Maidstone.
Bridle-Card will spend the next month at Woodstock Park while new first-choice Simon Overland, just back from a broken leg, recovers from a groin injury.
Overland failed a fitness test before Brickies’ FA Cup preliminary round draw against Hythe at the weekend.
Seventeen-year-old Adam Wallace took his place and also featured in the 5-0 replay defeat last night (Tuesday).
But Bridle-Card, No.2 to Lee Worgan at Maidstone, will come in for the Bank Holiday weekend, with Brickies hosting South Park on Saturday and visiting Greenwich Borough on Monday (both 3pm).
Sittingbourne manager Nick Davis said: “We’ve got Ben in for a month initially, so Overland hasn’t got to rush back.
“We thought he’d only be out for a few days but it’s looking like a couple of weeks.
“Overland had been out for a long time before joining us and when you come back you can pick up injuries where your body isn’t accustomed to dealing with the heavy schedule.
“We’ve got a good replacement in Ben. We knew of him and the reports we’ve had are very good.
“Hopefully he’ll do a good job for us and in return we give him the game time he needs. It’s right for both parties.”
