Sittingbourne will be sharing midfielder Lewis Chambers with Welling this season.
Chambers has joined the Wings on dual-registration terms following an approach from manager Mark Goldberg.
He'll spend most of his time with the Brickies but looks set to get chances with the National League South club.
Sittingbourne boss Chris Lynch said: "I had a conversation with Mark Goldberg last week and we came to an agreement.
"Lewis is the top end of 19 - not yet 20 - and someone I really like.
"Welling had heard about him, they'd seen him play and they got in touch to ask about the possibility of taking him on trial.
"They did everything the right way.
"Lewis is trying to progress and we've agreed to assist him in his path, so he'll play cup games and a couple of league games for Welling and all other times he'll be here.
"It's a perfect opportunity for the lad - he deserves it.
"If you work hard and you've got the right attitude and are willing to learn, we'll support you and push you as much as we can.
"It's great for our club because we get the service of a very good player from last year who, at the same time, has the chance to go on to greater things."
Lynch has strengthened his defence by re-signing Joshua Spencer following his release from Dover.
Spencer, who played a handful of games for the Brickies last season, came through Dover's academy and had been hoping to earn a first-team deal at Crabble.
Lynch said: "He's someone I've known for a while.
"He's a really good young prospect - only 19 - who has everything about him.
"He's fit, he's a leader at a young age and I like to work with those attributes.
"He was up against a lot of quality Conference and Football League-type players with the squad Andy Hessenthaler and Darren Hare have put together.
"It was always going to be difficult to get a first-team contract but coming back here gives him a platform to go again."
The Isthmian South East fixtures have been released with Sittingbourne starting at Whitstable on August 17.
