Boss Nick Davis has told Sittingbourne players to make the most of their talent.
Davis reached Conference South with Fisher during a successful non-league career and feels Brickies have players capable of playing higher than Ryman League Division 1 South.
Consistency is key for a Brickies side who host Guernsey in a 1pm kick-off at Woodstock Park on Saturday.
Davis said: “There are players here who could be playing a lot higher. They have much more ability than I ever had but it’s no good when you’re only doing it one game in four.
“I’m trying to get across to stick to their strengths and do what they’re good at. It worked for me in my career, so I don’t see why it shouldn’t work when we’re talking about players with more ability.”
Guernsey won 4-3 at Whitstable last weekend with two late goals but don’t always travel well, beaten 8-0 and 6-0 by Merstham and Hythe respectively.
And Davis is desperate to beat the Channel Islanders before Kent derbies against Faversham and Folkestone over Christmas.
Brickies striker David Abe returns from injury while Tom Brunt could continue in midfield having been moved from right-back but Harry Smith (hamstring) is out.
