SITTINGBOURNE'S speedway squad was weakened by the absence of the injured Andre Cross and were beaten by an impressive Boston outfit at Kings Lynn on Monday.
Falls hampered the visitors from the start, Jordan Frampton tumbling when second in heat two and Mark Baseby unlucky to be ruled out of the re-run of heat four after what seemed more like first bend bunching.
It was David McAllan - who rode for Boston last term - who led the way for Crusaders. His 17 point haul, which acocunted for more than half the Kent side's total, would have been greater but for a crash in heat 15.
Race of the night was a terrific battle between McAllan and Boston’s Carl Wilkinson in heat 11. McAllan won that one but two races later the local rider gained his revenge.
