Kent Kings remain second in the National League after back-to-back away matches.

Captain Simon Lambert top-scored with 13 points on his return from a broken hand as Kent lost 55-36 at Stoke Potters on Saturday.

But Kings made amends with a 56-32 success at Buxton Hitmen on Sunday.

In-form Benji Compton aggravated a wrist injury at Stoke as Kent, with No.1 rider Ben Morley on Elite League duty, went down by 19 points.

Morley returned at Buxton where vice-captain David Mason was the star of the show by scoring a paid maximum.

Lambert (14) claimed four heat wins, with Morley adding 10 points.

Kent's Bank Holiday Monday challenge match against Arena Essex was postponed due to a waterlogged track at Central Park.
