Sittingbourne have appointed Matt Wyatt and Nick Davis as their new joint-managers.
The pair have led the Brickies to four wins in their five games as caretaker bosses, most recently 2-0 at home to Tooting & Mitcham on Saturday.
Bourne chairman Maurice Dunk offered them the job on the pitch at full-time on Saturday and they immediately accepted.
Their predecessors, Jim and Danny Ward, quit after the Kent Senior Cup tie at Chatham on September 3, saying they could no longer work with Mr Dunk.
Wyatt said: “Nick and I have dreamed about having this job and we made it clear from the start we wanted it. We’ve worked very hard and the players have responded with some very good performances.
“So far this season we’ve had a good run of results at home but we’ve been terrible away. We’ve got to look at that and will change the formation a little bit next time.
“We’re also bringing in another player who will hopefully be beneficial to the club and that will give us a squad of 20.
“We’re still in four cups so we want to make sure that when we have to make changes it won’t disrupt the team too much. We want players coming on who are just as good as those they’ve replaced.
“We wanted the job and results govern what happens. No disrespect to the Wards, but they had three points out of 18 and we’ve got six out of nine, and including cup ties have four wins out of five.”
Sittingbourne host Corinthian Casuals in Ryman League Division 1 South on Tuesday (7.45pm) before traveling to Thamesmead Town in the FA Cup second qualifying round on Saturday (3pm).
