Arrest made after burglary at Tenterden High Street shop

An arrest has been made following a report of a burglary at a high street shop.

Police were called after a window was broken at a shop in Tenterden High Street at around 10.20pm yesterday.

Officers found the shop window had been smashed and cigarettes had been stolen.

A 22-year-old man from Ashford was arrested on suspicion of burglary and taken into custody while inquiries continue.
