Crash at A28 near High Halden

A woman had to be cut free from the wreckage of her car after a crash on a busy main road this morning.

Police and emergency services were called to the A28 Ashford Road near the village of High Halden after the two-car crash at 8am today.

Police say two women were injured and taken to hospital after the crash, and have warned motorists to expect delays as the road has been closed near the junction with The Martins.

Fire crews were called to free one of the women, and police say the road will remain closed until the cars are recovered.
