Elsie is a very old cat that needs a kind person's help.
While the Tenterden Cats' Protection - which covers Romney Marsh and Ashford - is not looking to rehome her it is hoping that someone will help pay her vets' bills.
Elsie is 17 and had thyroid problems. She is being cared for by a volunteer.
The charity was landed with seven cats in one morning this week - and now has so many homeless animals in their care one of their volunteers admitted this week that she had “lost count”.
Cat homelessness always increases during recessions, as people find they cannot afford to keep their pets anymore, what with vets’ bills and food.
Anyone interested in homing a cat or helping Elsie should call 01797 366379.
