Tenterden: Sinkhole spotted on Recreation Ground Road near Junior School

A sinkhole opened up in a Tenterden pavement this afternoon.
The ten-foot-deep divot was discovered on the corner of Recreation Ground Road and the A28, and the Highways Agency is currently on the scene.
Witnesses described seeing a "flowing river" running under the broken concrete, which is on the same road as Tenterden C of E Junior School. The area has been fenced off.
