A Tesco supermarket has been forced to shut after a town was hit by a power cut.
Tenterden residents were left without power this morning after a grid issue hit the area.
The blackout started just before 8am.
While power was restored in the town after just a few minutes, issues have continued at the supermarket.
The store has remained closed all day while workers deal with faults at the tills.
A spokeswoman said: “We’re working hard to reopen our Tenterden Superstore following a power issue this morning that has temporarily impacted our checkouts and servers.”
It is not known when the shop will reopen.
