Women cut free after two-car crash at Plurenden Road, High Halden

A woman has been cut free from her vehicle following a two-car crash.

Two crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene in Plurenden Road, High Halden, near Ashford.

Hydraulic rescue equipment was used to remove a car door and free the woman who was trapped in her vehicle, with crews attending earlier today.

The woman was passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics and spokesman Rich Airey confirmed that two female patients were assessed and treated at the scene, with one taken to William Harvey Hospital for further treatment.

A police spokesman said: "We were called to a two-vehicle collision in Plurenden Road, High Halden at around 8.30am today.

"Officers attended the scene along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service following a report of injuries.

"Both vehicles have now been recovered."
