Woman dies after crash in Cranbrook Road, Tenterden

An elderly woman has died following a two-car crash along a country road.
The incident involving a Peugeot Independence and a Nissan Qashqai happened in Cranbrook Road, Tenterden, at about 5pm yesterday.
The woman, who is in her 80s and from East Malling, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
She had been travelling as a passenger in the Peugeot at the time of the crash.
Police are urging anyone who saw the cars in the moments leading up to it, or who has dash cam footage from the area, to call them on 01622 798538, quoting the reference number MC/DS/45/19. Alternatively they can email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk.
