Chef Jim Thomlinson will be harnessing his 12 years of experience in Michelin Star kitchens to give an abstract twist to the classic concept of tasty treat.

Dishes will include frankfurter wrapped in sliced gherkin; Whitstable rock oyster wrapped in crispy prosciutto; Toulouse wrapped in Raclette cheese; chicken sausage wrapped in truffle slices; sage and onion sausage wrapped in turkey bacon; and Morcilla sausage wrapped in Pata Negra ham.

Jim, 34, said: "For me pigs in blankets is the flavour I look forward to most at Christmas.

"I am always half full before i sit down for dinner having stolen so many off the roasting tray.

"I look forward both to making epic versions of the traditional pig and putting a new spin on the concept."

But Margate-based Messhead - the team behind the this who have created food stunts for brands such as Dexter and The Walking Dead - are looking for a Kent home for their latest feat after their original venue closed down.

Creative director Emma Thomas said: "There is no doubt that pigs in blankets is a huge trend for Christmas this year.

"Being the world's biggest pigs in blankets fan I wanted to make my Christmas dreams come true and eat a menu that consisted only of this fine food.

"As soon as I started to talk about this I realised this was a dream for many and was determined to make our collective dreams come true.

"Having our location for the venue close down at the last minute means we are now desperately looking for a home for the pop up this December.

"We'd ask anyone who thinks they could give a home to our Sausage Party this Christmas gets in touch via the paper or sausagepartyxmas@gmail.com.

"We would consider anywhere with a working compliant kitchen, for example a pub that maybe doesn’t have a food offering for a cafe or tea room now closed down for the winter would be perfect and allow the owner to earn a few extra pounds."
