Police are appealing for witnesses after an 11-year old was robbed at knifepoint in Ramsgate.

The boy was walking to school at 10.30 on Tuesday morning when he was grabbed and pushed against a wall. A man then threatened him with a knife, demanding money and his phone.

When the boy said he didn’t have anything, the offender tried to rummage through his pockets but, finding nothing, let the victim go.

He was then seen to ride away on a bicycle in the direction of Princess Margaret Avenue.

The offender is described as a white man, aged around 25-years-old and around 5ft 8in tall with a medium build.

He had untidy short dark brown hair and spoke with a southern accent. He also has a scar on his right cheek and was wearing a grey Nike hooded top with a zip up the front and black jeans.

The bike he was riding may have had flame decorations on it.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed anything or who saw the offender before or after the incident. They also want to hear from anyone who thinks they recognise the description and can identify the man.
